Average Risk Screening for Colon & Rectal Cancer - What Are My Options?


It has been several months now since the US Preventive Services Task Force released their updated guidelines, now recommending that screening for Colorectal Cancer (CRC) should begin for average risk individuals at age 45. In this blog post, I discuss the various options for screening, with some pros and cons of each. One takeaway point to remember - while there are several options available that can detect cancer and polyps, only Colonoscopy alone is designed to detect, treat, and prevent polyps and cancer
